For this piece I began with a dream. In my dream I entered an empty white room to meditate and communicate with beings from another planet, they helped me move into another reality. Once there, I swam in a gelatinous substance surrounded by irregular shapes and strange colors; I could do whatever I wanted, nobody knew I was there, I felt happy. Afterwards I would disconnect from meditation and find myself in the empty white room, just as it was when I first came in. I made two pieces. In the first embroidery I interpreted my entrance into the blank space as the need to communicate with myself. I represented this by embroidering circles over and over again, evoking repetitive mental activity. For the second embroidery, I relied on some of the associations and interpretations given to me by the group of women I worked with. Specifically, a question if this had been real. For that reason, I embroidered the shape of the scars I have on my body as the evidence of something that took place, even if it was been left behind.
