The Lost and Found Project - The Lost & Found Project (2021-2022) commenced with a year-long series of lectures by experts Haydee Rovirosa, Diana Magaloni, Paulina Donis, Zairong Xiang, Patricia Arriaga Jordán and Sonia Roseon creation/destruction myths from various cultures around the world. In dialogue with ancient stories, Saloneras examined what was lost and what was found through the COVID-19 pandemic experience and its consequences. Narratives of creation and destruction, nature and history influenced the participants ideas, process, and final works. The resulting project comprises a series of short films, two-dimensional images, and brief accompanying texts that synthesize each participant’s experience with this material, interweaving the work of 27 women in different countries around common themes. These process-oriented pieces were presented in an exhibition at La Nana. Laboratorio de Arte Urbano Comprometido in Mexico City from August 3rd to October 27th 2023.
