Over the two years of investigating the mythologies of creation and destruction, chaos has been the motive that has impacted me the most. Prior to immersion into mythology, I started collecting hair that was falling from my head, and instead of throwing it to the trash I began to rescue it from my shower’s walls into a shoe bag. Out of this practice, I started creating line drawings as a self-regulatory practice. Childhood stories surfaced with hair as the subject, initiating research and reflection on the science of epigenetics—the study of links to the experiences of our ancestors and our DNA information. These explorations of stories and science resulted in more questions than answers, so in response I created a container for this investigation to continue.
