La Columna de mis Manos (The Spine of my Hands)
2019
I've always had boxes of charms, especially during hard times. In these boxes I have placed found objects that carry a meaning for me, like bones, stones, leaves and feathers, objects that connect me, contain me, and make me feel part of something bigger. This box of the column of my hands is the same, but now, more than ever, it is a reminder of my ability to work with my hands, of the strength of the column that sustains me and connects me with the earth and with my spirit, and my tireless struggle to find my deepest identity and my place in this world. I celebrate that now, the force is not deposited in objects external to me, onto which I projected that archetypal force, but on my own hands and my spine. WIth this switch they are reintegrated into my body. I celebrate and share this through this box.
